High speed pursuit nets another criminal after they are captured near City of Fond du Lac

For the second time in less than 24 hours Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies are involved in a high speed pursuit in the City of Fond du Lac area, and for the second time, the suspect is caught.

At about 7:00 PM last night, a Fond du Lac County Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 41 near Lost Arrow Road for traffic violations.

The suspect continued northbound at a high rate of speed, while driving recklessly.

Deputies positioned on 41, south of the Johnson Street exit were able to deploy a tire deflation device on the suspect’s vehicle. After the tires on the vehicle were punctured, the suspect exited the highway to Johnson Street and lost control entering the ditch.

The driver exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, running through local business parking lots. Multiple law enforcement officers converged on the scene, and with assistance from Sheriff’s Office K9, Ace. He was taken into custody without incident.

The 42-year-old Milwaukee man is currently out on bond through Brown County for charges of a felon in Possession of a Firearm. Operate a vehicle with Restricted Controlled Substance, Operating While Revoked and 2 counts Felony Bail Jumping.

He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he adds these charges to his already lengthy list of offenses.

2 counts of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety

and 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping

He was also arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while impaired and issued several traffic citations related to the pursuit.
