High winds and low humidity leads to elevated fire risk Monday

Despite overnight rains Sunday, November 3, 2025, The National Weather Service says west winds gusting to 25 to 35 mph, low relative humidity and mild temperatures will result in elevated fire weather conditions this afternoon.

They say residents are urged to be careful with any activities that could potentially lead to a wildland fires. Campfires, outdoor grills, smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have the potential to throw a spark and ignite a wildfire.

Humidity values will again be low Tuesday but winds will be much lighter. Its unknown if the elevated fire risk will continue into Tuesday.
