Highway connecting Oshkosh and Fond du Lac closed due to crash for second time in 4 days

Highway 45 between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac had to be closed for a period of time Thursday afternoon, July 11, 2024, for a car vs motorcycle crash. At 5:35 PM, the Van Dyne Fire Department and first responders as well as two Oshkosh ambulances were paged to the area just north of the Fond du Lac County line. The initial report stated the motorcycle driver was laying in the ditch but was conscious and breathing. No other information has been released in the crash.

A fatal crash farther south on the same stretch of highway closed the road on Monday the 8th. A 61-year-old Fond du Lac Woman was killed in that crash.
