Highway maintenance taking place in Northeast Wisconsin

Traffic impacts for maintenance work the week of June 3

(Northeast Wisconsin) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces state highway maintenance work in Northeast Wisconsin and associated traffic impacts. Maintenance operations are typically performed in spot locations within the project limits. Traffic impacts do not typically affect the entire highway limits of the maintenance project or throughout the project’s entire duration. Work is listed by county below.

Brown County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on northbound WIS 57 between VanLaanen Road and County T on Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4 during daytime hours. A lane will be continuously closed during repairs.

Calumet County

• Maintenance crews will be working on drainage on northbound and southbound WIS 55 at Hickory Hills Road, daily, Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 6 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.

Door County

• Maintenance crews will be crack filling on northbound and southbound WIS 42 between WIS 57 and S. Duluth Avenue, daily, Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. A lane will be closed during repairs.

Fond du Lac County (ramp closure)

• Maintenance crews will be repairing concrete on northbound US 151 at WIS 26 beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, June 3 to noon, Friday, June 7. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs. In addition, the following ramp will be closed:
  • Northbound US 151 on-ramp from WIS 26 will be CLOSED beginning at 7 a.m., Monday, June 3 to noon, Friday, June 7.
    • Detour: Traffic is to continue on WIS 49 to northbound US 151

Manitowoc County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on southbound I-43 at County F, daily, Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A lane will be closed during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on northbound I-43 between Custer Street and the Wisconsin Central Railroad, daily, Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 6 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. A lane will be closed during repairs.
