Hobby Lobby Still A Go In Fond du Lac

Hobby Lobby in Fond du Lac is still a go. That’s the word from Hobby Lobby corporate, who told KFIZ News Wednesday afternoon that the lease has been signed and the estimated opening is set for May of 2022.

We also reached out to City of Fond du Lac Community Development Director Dyann Benson, who told us Big Lots is also on track to build in Fond du Lac.

Improvements are currently being made to the loading dock in the back of the old Shopko building, as well as a front vestibule being added for Hobby Lobby. The building has to be divided which requires changes to electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

Benson did say Big Lots is hoping to open in time for the Holiday season.
