Holy Family Catholic Community’s Soup du Jour fundraiser Raises $2,500 And Sells Out In One Hour
A collaboration between local restaurants and Holy Family Catholic Community’s Soup du Jour fundraiser, generated $2,500 in donations for St. Katharine Drexel Shelter and Holyland Food Pantry.
The parish added $1500 to this amount, bringing the total donation to $2,000 to each organization.
On February 18, hundreds of community members went to Holy Family Church for the fundraiser, many donating more than what was being asked to cover the cost of soup.
14 local restaurants donated soups to the fundraiser and it was all sold out within an hour.
This was the 3rd year the fundraiser was done.
Holy Family Catholic Community Director of Human Concerns Erin Cobb said, “We are blessed to have such a generous community, and because of it, we are able to donate $2,000 to each of these organizations.”
