Home invasion suspect arrested after search warrant

On February 19, 2026, at approximately 3:10p.m., members of the Fond du Lac Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of Primrose Lane as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple residential home entries and attempted entries reported during the early morning hours of February 17, 2026.

As a result of the search warrant and subsequent investigative interviews, a 19-year-old Fond du Lac resident was taken into custody on multiple charges and is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.

From the initial report, these incidents were treated as an immediate priority for FDLPD. Over a short period of time, Officers, Detectives, and Supervisors committed significant resources to the investigation, conducting an expansive neighborhood canvass, reviewing evidence, following investigative leads, and maintaining a visible presence within affected neighborhoods.

The swift identification and apprehension of a suspect reflects a tremendous coordinated departmental effort, combined with strong cooperation from community members.

Lt. Nick Hahn said “We understand incidents like these impact how safe people feel in their own homes, and that matters deeply to us. Our Officers and Detectives worked tirelessly and collaboratively to move this investigation forward as quickly as possible. We are incredibly grateful to the residents who spoke with us, shared information, and supported one another throughout this process. This outcome is truly the result of a community and police partnership.”

Chief Aaron Goldstein added “Our department moved quickly because protecting our community is our highest responsibility. I am proud of the relentless effort demonstrated by our department who worked around the clock to bring resolution and reassurance to our neighborhoods. Just as important was the response from our residents, neighbors looking out for one another, reporting concerns, and partnering with us. Public safety is strongest when community and police stand together, and this investigation reflects that shared commitment.”

The FDLPD recognizes that incidents like these can be unsettling. Our goal is always to support residents through reassurance, visibility, and proactive investigation.

As a general safety practice residents are encouraged to:

  • Secure doors and windows when able
  • Keep exterior lighting operational
  • Utilize home security cameras or alarm systems if available
  • Report suspicious activity, unfamiliar persons, or anything that feels out of place

Community members play a vital role in neighborhood safety, and FDLPD remains deeply appreciative of neighbors who watch out for one another and promptly report concerns.

Residents who may have camera footage showing individuals walking through yards, checking door handles, or engaging in unusual overnight activity are encouraged to contact the department.

To report suspicious activity, call (920) 906-5555, or dial 911 in an emergency.
