Home invasions continue in Oshkosh with man/men entering women’s bedrooms

Oshkosh Police are again investigating another in a series of home trespassing incidents where women are finding a man in their bedroom.

The latest incident happened early Sunday morning around 1 a.m., when a person reported that she had arrived at her residence on John Avenue, just east of the UW Oshkosh campus, and saw a masked man standing in her bedroom.

According to police, the woman screamed and left the residence. She described the suspect as being approximately 6′2″ wearing skinny jeans, a black shirt, and a ski mask.

Police took similar reports of a suspect loosely matching this incident on April 1st and 15th. In those cases, the intruder was described as a skinny man with a white mask and a muscular man with a black mask.

While the descriptions don’t match exactly, all three instances have happened within a 5 block area of each other.

Police didn’t say how the man had entered the house in this third case but said the previous two instances were through an unlocked door and window.

Police ask If you live in the area where this occurred and have video surveillance cameras, that you review your footage to see if this suspect was recorded on your cameras.
