HS Sports Recap 10/13; 4 Champions Crowned in the Flyway

Football:
Mayville 27 Springs 17
Mayville finishes the regular season 9-0 and winning the Flyway going 7-0. Schraufnagel had 4 TD’s for the Cardinals.
Volleyball:
WLA 3 Campbellsport 0 25-17, 25-6, 25-17
WLA wraps up the conference slate 7-0 thus winning the Flyway for just the second time.

Seth Schroeder scored at 9:07 off a corner kick from Louis Schultz.
Nick Russ had one save for WLA.
With the win, WLA clinches at least a tie for first in the Flyway conference.
Comments: We got off to a slow start this year, but our guys kept their heads down and kept working and grinding. The wins started coming, they kept their eyes on the goal, and now, they get to be champions. I’m very proud of them and what they have accomplished. They are worthy champs.

The win for CWC was the 8th straight win in the last 3 weeks. This also means that CWC was able to share the Flyway Conference Championship. This was their first conference title since the 2013 soccer season.
