I-41 upcoming closings due to construction

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says there will be a full closures of I-41, associated ramps, and the County Road Z bridge as part of the I-41 Resurfacing Project in Fond du Lac and Winnebago counties next week.

The County Z Bridge that goes over I-41 in southern Winnebago County will be closed starting Monday, July 28 and be closed for about two weeks.

Northbound I-41 will be fully closed, overnight, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 29, 30 and 31 next week between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., from County highway N in Fond du Lac County to Highway 26 in Winnebago County. A marked detour will take traffic West on County N to County C, north on County C to Highway 26, then east on 26 back to I-41

And the following I-41 ramps in Fond du Lac County will be closed for work weather permitting:

County OO on/off ramps will close 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday, July 28.
County N on/off ramps will close 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Wednesday, July 30
Johnson Street off-ramps will close 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday, August 3
and Johnson Street on ramps will close 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday, August 4

Each project will have a make up day the following day should work not occur due to weather.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, follow posted detours, and allow extra travel time through these areas.
