Intoxicated driver fights with officers in Fond du Lac County

A driver pulled over early Monday morning, July 21, 2025, for suspected drunk driving, made matters worse for himself when he started fighting with two North Fond du Lac Officers.

At 12:15 a.m. the traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Pioneer Road and Winnebago Street. The driver came back with a revoked drivers license, and after blowing a .222 in a breathalyzer unit, 11 times over the limit the man was allowed due to a prior operating while intoxicated conviction, he began fighting with the two North Fond du Lac units.

The officers called for back-up but were quickly able to subdue the man.

An ambulance was called due to a scraped elbow the man sustained during the scuffle.
