Johnson Sponsored Whistleblower Law

U.S. Senator Ron Johnson was pleased to see President Trump sign the Dr. Chris Kirkpatrick Whistleblower Protection Act into law last month. It’s is named after a psychologist at the VA Medical Center in Tomah who was fired from the VA for questioning the over-medication of veterans who were being treated at the facility. He was so distraught he went home and committed suicide. The VA continued its retaliation by looking at his medical records and smearing him after his death. Johnson says Kirkpatrick’s brother offered suggestions for the bill that were incorporated into a law that will protect government whistleblowers. Senator Johnson sponsored the bill in the Senate where it got unanimous consent.
