Josh Dilling Returns Home to Lead Fond du Lac Boys Basketball Program

In late May, Fond du Lac Boys Basketball Head Coach Nick Ford announced his resignation to accept a position at Dominican High School. His departure left the rising Fond du Lac program without a leader, just months after its first sectional appearance since 2004.
After a summer of uncertainty, the Fond du Lac School District found its new head coach—straight from the college basketball ranks. Josh Dilling, a Fond du Lac native who recently wrapped up a successful collegiate career at Northern Kentucky, was officially announced as the program’s new leader.

Dilling’s connection to Fond du Lac runs deep. He played in the city’s youth basketball program until eighth grade before moving to Oshkosh, where he starred at Oshkosh North and helped lead the team to a state championship. Now, he returns to his roots, eager to guide the Cardinals into a new era.
With Dilling at the helm, the program is ready to begin a new chapter in its storied history—one built on local pride, championship experience, and a vision for continued growth.
Coach Dilling discusses his decision to take over the Fond du Lac program and his conversations with former Head Coach Nick Ford in his interview with KFIZ Sports Director Chuck Freimund during KFIZ Sportsnight.
