Jury Returns Split Verdict In Trial
The jury acquitted him on most of the serious charges, but convicted him on 5 others. That’s the decision handed down this week in the trial of Mohamed G. Elmhdati.
Elmhdati was convicted of first degree reckless injury, aggravated battery, reckless injury, intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, and firing a weapon within 100 yards of a building. The jury had acquitted Elmhdati of attempted homicide and armed robbery.
Elmhdati was involved in a verbal argument back in February of 2019, near Lincoln and West Division St,in Fond du Lac, which left one man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Sentencing has been set for April 15th.
