Katrina Baur bond reduction request denied by judge

Katrina Baur, mother of missing three-year-old Elijah Vue was back in court yesterday to request a reduction in her bail.

Appearing with her new attorney after her first attorney stopped representing her due to a conflict of interest, the two asked Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judge Robert Dewane to reduce her $15,000 cash bond to $5,000. A request the judge denied.

The judge did however amend Baur’s bond conditions which previously stated no contact with anyone under the age of 18, to allowing it so she could see her other child, but under strict supervision.

Baur is charged with felony chronic neglect of a child and neglecting a child

Charges that stemmed from the disappearance of her son Elijah Vue, who was last seen around 8:00 a.m. by Baur’s boyfriend, Jesse Vang, on February 20 in Two Rivers.
