>>Packers Preparing To Play Thursday Despite Positive COVID-19 Test Result

(Green Bay, WI)  —  The Green Bay Packers are preparing to play the 49ers on Thursday Night Football – despite the positive COVID-19 test result for running back A-J Dillion.  Health officials with the NFL are examining whether it is safe for the team to travel to California Wednesday for that game.  Last week, the Broncos, Chargers, Giants, and Vikings all had players test positive, but their games were still played as scheduled Sunday.  The Packers-49ers game could be moved to Monday night without any other schedule adjustments, but that step hasn’t been taken yet.

>>He’s Been Valuable, But Bucks Could Move On From Brook Lopez

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Center Brook Lopez has been a big player for a Bucks team that has won more games the last two years than any other team in the NBA.  His outside shooting and inside defense have made Lopez a big weapon for coach Mike Budenholzer and his salary is reasonable at less than 14 million dollars.  When the postseason starts, the flaws begin to show.  Lopez has slow feet and limited mobility, meaning he doesn’t defend the perimeter very well.  That hurts coach Bud when he needs to make adjustments during playoff games.  Some NBA observers are pointing out Lopez is valuable enough to bring to Milwaukee the shot creators the team needs.  No specific deals are being projected right now.

>>Brewers 1B Ryon Healy Opts For Free Agency

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Brewers first baseman Ryon Healey has refused outright assignment to Triple-A and has opted for free agency.  That moves him off Milwaukee’s 40-man roster.  Healy has batted .261 with 69 home runs in 405 career games.  He has more than three years in Major League Baseball and that gives him the right to refuse the outright assignment.  He played in only four regular-season games for Milwaukee during 2020, hitting just .143 with no homers and no RBIs.

>>November 14th Badgers Game At Michigan To Be ABC National Game

(Ann Arbor, MI)  —  The Big Ten Conference is announcing the November 14th game in Michigan for the Wisconsin Badgers will have a 6:30 p-m kickoff.  Although ESPN “College GameDay” won’t be in Ann Arbor for the contest, the game against the Wolverines will be the ABC national game. The last time the Badgers and Wolverines played it was also the network’s national game.  There are still questions about whether Wisconsin will be hosting Purdue this Saturday or not.  The program is dealing with almost two dozen players and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19.
