Among the different strategies pursued to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, the N-B-A’s approach is the most emphatic. The league schedule – including tonight’s (Thursday’s) Bucks-Celtics game – has been suspended until further notice. Most teams have 18 games left in the 2019-2020 season. It isn’t clear if the missed games will be made up and the N-B-A has set no timetable for the resumption of play. The timing for the Milwaukee Bucks is good – with four losses in the last five games unraveling what has been an excellent season so far.
MLB Spring Training:
LA Dodgers 4, Milwaukee 1 (7 Innings)
–Keston Hiura went 2 for 3 at the plate in the loss for the Brewers. Milwaukee plays Colorado and Arizona in Split Squad action today.
Chicago Cubs 3, San Diego 2
NY Mets 7, St. Louis 3
Atlanta 3, Minnesota 2
NFL News:
Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham is already saying his goodbyes. After two seasons with the green-and-gold, the Packers are going to make his release official today (Thursday). The move will save the team eight million dollars in salary-cap space. The 33-year-old Graham made the Pro Bowl five times during his career and caught 93 passes in two seasons with the Packers, good for one-thousand-83 yards and five touchdowns. He had one year remaining on his contract, but the Packers are among the 10 teams with the least cap space during free agency.
NHL:
Chicago 6, San Jose 2
