High School Sports – Saturday’s Results:
Boys Hockey – WIAA Division 2 State Championship:
St. Mary’s Springs 5, Northland Pines 1
–The Ledgers scored three goals in the second period to pull away for a win over the Eagles in the D-2 Championship Game. Brady Welsch scored twice in the win for the Ledgers – who win their first State Championship.
Girls Basketball – WIAA Sectional Finals:
Division 5:
Black Hawk 83, Oakfield 36
–Mya Lemonska scored 10 points to lead the Oaks in the loss to the Warriors in the Sectional Final at Beaver Dam High School. Black Hawk is the defending Division 5 State Champion, and carries a 54-game winning streak into the State Semifinals.

–The Papermakers play Eau Claire North in a Sectional Semifinal on Thursday

–Jack Flynn scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Titans fall to the Cardinals in the second round of the NCAA Tournament

–Nate Reuvers scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures as the Badgers defeated the Hoosiers to win at least a share of the Big Ten Conference Championship.

–Markus Howard scored 30 points in the loss for the Golden Eagles. Marquette enters the Big East tournament having lost six of their final seven games in the regular season.

UW-Oshkosh 67, Bethany Lutheran 60
–Leah Porath scored 27 points to lead the Titans to the Regional Championship and a berth in the Sweet 16. Oshkosh will play Loras College of Iowa in the next round.
