–The Brewers used three solo home runs, plus another solid outing from Brandon Woodruff to win the series opener against the Padres on Monday night. Luis Urias, Billy McKinney and Tyrone Taylor all hit solo shots, while Woodruff gave up a run on one hit and struck out seven in six innings of work. Game two of the series is tonight, first pitch is 9:10 PM. Corbin Burnes gets the start against Chris Paddack for San Diego

–The Suns’ Devin Booker made one of two free throws with three-tenths of a second left in overtime to lift Phoenix past Milwaukee at Fiserv Forum. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 33 points, with Khris Middleton adding 26 and Jrue Holiday 25 in the loss. Milwaukee has lost five straight at home, and will look to snap that losing streak Thursday against Philadelphia.
