–The VIkings win the Regional Championship and advance to sectionals on Saturday.

–Ripon wins their first Regional Championship in school history and advances to sectionals. Ripon will play WLA in the sectional semifinal.

–Campbellsport advances to the sectional semifinal after winning 5-4 in penalty kicks. Campbellsport will play Waupun in the sectional semifinal on Saturday.

–Audrey Schumacher threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 12 batters to help lead the Vikings past the Spartans. Alayna Suprenand went 3-for-3 with a triple to lead the WLA offense in the win.

–Phillies starter Zack Wheeler tossed a complete-game shutout to help his team complete the sweep of the Brewers with a win Thursday afternoon. Wheeler gave up just three hits and struck out eight in the win. His counterpart, Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff tossed 6 & ⅔ innings, giving up just one run – a home run to Alec Bohm in the seventh inning to put Philly ahead for good. Woodruff struck out 11 batters in the loss. 

The Brewers’ losing streak stands at five games heading into a weekend series at Miami. Brent Suter gets the start Friday in the series opener, first pitch is 6:10 PM.
