–Emma Mulder had three hits and drove in three runs for the the Spartans in the win. Emma Rolf had a pair of hits in the loss for the Ledgers. Laconia advances to play top-seed Winnebago Lutheran on Monday
North Fond du Lac 7, Kiel 4
–Natalie Miller and Lucy Hughes each had a pair of hits in the win for the Orioles. Miller also struck out 10 batters in the pitcher’s circle. The Orioles advance to play at Chilton on Monday

Boys Golf – WIAA Sectionals:
Division 1 Sectional – hosted by Plymouth:
Fond du Lac finished in eighth place at the Plymouth Sectional on Wednesday, shooting a 373 as a team. The Cardinals were led by Cole Thorin, who scored an 86 to tie for 22nd at the meet.
Division 3 Sectional – hosted by Mineral Point:
Oakfield freshman Noah Patterson shot a 93 to tie for 35th place at the Mineral Point sectional on Wednesday.
Princeton/Green Lake finished in 12th place in the team standings with a 458. Alexander Douglas led the way for P/GL with a 93.

Wisconsin Rapids 6, Fond du Lac 5
–Aaron Chapman had a pair of hits and drove in two runs in the loss for the Dock Spiders. Fondy travels to Wausau to play the Wisconsin Woodchucks tonight – first pitch is 6:35 PM.

–Tyler Stephenson hit two doubles – driving three runs – as the Reds snapped the Brewers’ five-game winning streak at Great American Ballpark on Wednesday night. Willy Adames went 4-for-4 at the plate, and Daniel Vogelbach clubbed a solo home run in the loss for Milwaukee. Brewers starter Brett Anderson was saddled with the loss – giving up five runs on five hits in just three innings of work.
The Brewers got some bad news on the injury front in Wednesday’s game, too, as third baseman Travis Shaw left the game in the second inning with a dislocated left shoulder.
The series wraps up this morning – first pitch is 11:35 AM, with radio coverage starting at 11 on KFIZ.
