–Kiambu Fentress collected three hits for the Dock Spiders in the win as Fondy completed its first ever sweep of Kalamazoo with the win Friday night. The Dock Spiders head to Battle Creek for action tonight – first pitch is 6:05 pm. Listen on KFIZ and KFIZ.com following Brewers Baseball.

NWL News:

Two pitchers from the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders were selected to take part in this season’s Northwoods League All Star Game coming up later this month. Mike Hope – a junior from Shippensburg University and Jon Young – a sophomore at Indiana State will represent the Dock Spiders in the game. Kalamazoo’s Homer Stryker Field is the host of this year’s game, which will be played Tuesday, July 24th .

Pittsburgh 7, Milwaukee 3

–Josh Bell went 4 for 4 at the plate with a double and a triple as the Pirates took game two of the series with the Brewers at PNC Park Friday night. Milwaukee got home runs from Travis Shaw and reliever Brandon Woodruff – who blasted his first career homer in the sixth inning – in the loss. The Brewers and Pirates will play a doubleheader today, coverage for game one begins at 11 am with first pitch at 11:35, game two follows 15 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
