>>Packers Coach Planning To Use Rookie’s Versatility
(Green Bay, WI) — Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur keeps talking about using rookie Josiah Deguara all over the field, lining him up anywhere along the line or in the backfield, using him as a blocker or passing target. The Packers drafted Deguara in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. PackersWire reports LaFleur thinks he can use Deguara to enhance the Packers’ efforts to be deceptive just before the ball is snapped. The only challenge seems to be getting the rookie ready to fill all those roles. Playing tight end as a first-year player in the NFL isn’t easy – and that gets going Saturday when the Packers officially start their first training camp practice.
>>Big Ten Football Coaches Coming Up With Plans Of Their Own For Spring Season
(Columbus, OH) — Ohio State coach Ryan Day is among Big Ten coaches coming up with plans of their own for a spring football season. On Thursday, Purdue coach Jeff Brohm offered a more detailed proposal, with an eight-game season kicking off February 27th and ending April 17th. Then, to give players time to physically recover, the fall 2021 season would start in October and run through December 11th.
