–Holden Missey had two doubles and drove in a pair of runs in the loss for the Dock Spiders in the regular season finale in Madison on Saturday night. 

The Dock Spiders and Mallards will begin a best-of-three playoff series for the Great Lakes Division Playoffs in Madison this afternoon – first pitch is 3:05 PM.

Pittsburgh 14, Milwaukee 4 (Game 1)

–The Pirates pounded out 19 hits as they bested the Brewers in game one of the doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh. Milwaukee led 3-0 after two innings, but was outscored 14-1 the rest of the way by Pittsburgh.

Kevin Newman went 4-for-4 at the plate with all four of his hits coming as doubles in the win for the Pirates. Kolten Wong and Tyrone Taylor hit solo home runs in the loss for the Brewers.

Milwaukee 6, Pittsburgh 0 (Game 2)

–Rowdy Tellez and Avisail Garcia hit home runs to help the Brewers split the doubleheader with the Pirates on Saturday in Pittsburgh. Aaron Ashby and three relievers held Pittsburgh to just four hits and recorded eight strikeouts in seven innings of work. 

The series wraps up today in Pittsburgh – first pitch is 12:05 PM, with radio coverage starting at 11:30 on KFIZ.
