Milwaukee 5, St. Louis 3 (8 Innings)

–Mike Moustakas clubbed a three-run home run in the 1st inning that helped the Brewers build a 5-0 lead, and then hang on for the win in a rain-shortened game in St. Louis Wednesday night. Keston Hiura went 2-for-4, driving in two runs for Milwaukee. The game was stopped after 7 and ½ innings, and made official after a rain delay of just over an hour. The win snaps the Brewers six-game losing streak to the Cardinals, and knocks the cards out of first place in the NL Central. St. Louis sits a half game back of the Cubs, the Brewers are in third place – three and a half games back of Chicago. Milwaukee is off today – they open a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday at Miller Park.
