–A three-run fourth inning is all the Brewers would need to be able to hold off the Reds and take game two of the four game set at Miller Park Tuesday night. Ben Gamel’s RBI double tied the game at two, with Orlando Arcia’s run-scoring single putting Milwaukee in front. Brandon Woodruff got the win – he struck out eight batters in six innings of work. Josh Hader picked up his seventh save of the year with a scoreless ninth inning. Game three of the series is tonight – first pitch is 7:10 pm.

–White Sox starter Lucas Giolito threw a no-hitter, the first of the 2020 MLB season and the 19th in team history. He struck out 13 batters and walked one in the win for the White Sox.

>>Antetokounmpo Named NBA Defensive Player Of The Year
(Lake Buena Vista, FL) — The season’s not over and the awards are already coming in for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The six-foot-11 25-year-old was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Tuesday. Antetokounmpo has been on the league’s all-defensive team twice, but never got the top honor before. He and his teammates have a chance to clinch their first-round playoff series against Orlando in a game starting at 3:00 this afternoon. >>No Fans Will Attend Green Bay Packers Season Opener At Minnesota
(Minneapolis, MN) — U-S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis is normally one of the loudest venues in the NFL. When the Green Bay Packers open their season against the Vikings September 13th, how loud the stadium is will depend on how much producers jack up the sound on the speakers. Noisy Viking fans won’t be attending. The Minnesota franchise says it won’t have any fans in attendance at either of its first two home games. The Packers have made the same decision about their first two games at Lambeau Field.

(Madison, WI) — Wisconsin senior offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen has been named to the Associated Press Preseason All-American second team. Van Lanen is one of a dozen Big Ten Conference players to be named. He was second-team All-Big Ten as a junior. Van Lanen has appeared in 40 games as a Badger, starting 14. He’s the only Badger honored by the AP team released Tuesday.

(Green Bay, WI) — The start of 2020 training camp for Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby was delayed after his second COVID-19 test came up positive. But Crosby told reporters on Monday that his symptoms were very mild. He waited ten days to get back and he feels as strong as ever. Crosby said he was surprised to test positive given his relative lack of symptoms. He said he socially distanced this offseason, limiting his interactions to his family. The 13-year veteran says he’s feeling great coming out of COVID. Crosby signed a three-year contract worth 12-point-nine million dollars during the offseason, making him the third highest-paid kicker in the league.
>>NCAA Committees Meeting To Decide When The Basketball Season Will Start
(Undated) — At least five NCAA committees will be meeting over the next three days to discuss when the college basketball season will start. A report on CBS Sports indicates four dates are being considered between November 10th – the current start date – and December 4th. As it stands now, teams would be allowed to start practices for the season September 29th. It isn’t clear if any decisions will be made by the end of this week. One report says starting the college basketball season around Thanksgiving has “gained a lot of traction” recently.
