Peshtigo – 7, New Holstein – 1

Peshtigo opened scoring in the 12th minute of the first half and took a 3-0 lead into halftime.  They also added 4 more goals in the 2nd half to New Holstein’s 1 goal in the 2nd half to end the contest with a 7-1 victory.   New Holstein goal keeper, Levi Kesler, recorded 26 saves during the game for New Holstein.

New Holstein Head Coach John Moore said, “Peshtigo did have the better team tonight.  And we were only able to show up with a roster of 11 total players (no substitutes).  We were missing 3 of our starters tonight.  We can only hope to get them back soon so we can be at normal strength for the first time this season.”

Brewers Drop Series Finale to Reds

After taking the first two games of the series, the Milwaukee Brewers found themselves on the losing end of the finale, 5-1. Jonathan India drilled a 3-run homer in the 5th inning to make it a 4-0 game at that point. Milwaukee was only able to scratch out three hits of Reds starting pitcher Sonny Gray. Milwaukee, 78-50, holds 8.5 game lead on the Reds, and will travel to Minnesota where they open a 3-game stand Friday against the Twins. Coverage starts at 6:35 pm on KFIZ
