–Tommy LaStella drove in the go-ahead run on a single in the eighth inning to help the Giants beat the Brewers and clinch a series win over Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon.
Brandon Belt was a thorn in the side of the Brewers again in Sunday’s game – clubbing a pinch hit two-run homer in the seventh to tie the game at four. The home run was Belt’s fourth of the series – following a two-homer night in Saturday’s game.
Omar Narvaez hit a two-run homer in the loss for the Brewers, who hold a five game lead on Cincinnati in the National League Central standings, and are 20 games above .500 on the season at 66-46.
Milwaukee hits the road for a 10-game road trip, all against N-L Central opponents. First up is the Chicago Cubs for a four-game series – game one is tonight with first pitch at 7:05 PM.
