PACK IS BACK IN FRONT OF A CROWD, SENDS THEM HOME HAPPY

It didn’t look good early, but the home team provided plenty of fireworks in the end, as the Green Bay Packers played in front of another sell-out crowd Monday night, beating the Detroit Lions 35-17. Aaron Rodger bounced back from a poor performance last week against New Orleans, completing 22 of 27 passes and throwing 4 TD passes. Rodgers also moved into the NFL’s Top 10 All Time Passing Leader list. Rodgers trailed John Elway by 97 yards entering the game, passing Elway with a 50-yard bomb to Davante Adams in the third quarter. Rodgers is now 10th on the list with 51,633 yards, trailing Matt Ryan (9th place) by 4,598. Former Packer Brett Favre is 4th on the list with 71,838 yards.

Aaron Jones scored 4 TD’s (3 rushing, 1 receiving) and tied a Monday Night Football record with the four scores.

PACKERS MAKE ROSTER MOVE PRIOR TO KICK OFF

The Green Bay Packers elevated WR Equanimeous St. Brown (eck-wah-nihm-ee-ous) from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday. The transaction was announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

BREWERS CAN’T BEAT THE CARDS

The Milwaukee Brewers struggled to find their offense Monday night, picking up just two runs on three hits, and losing 5-2 to the St. Louis Cardinals in Milwaukee. Freddy Peralta went six innings, giving up three runs while striking out nine. The game was the first of 7 the two teams will play over the remainder of the season. The Brewers hold a 10.5 game lead on St. Louis, and look to shrink their magic number when the two teams square off Tuesday night. Coverage starts at 6:10 p.m. on KFIZ.
