Kwik Trip Rewards Program Working Again After Cyber Hack

After several weeks of being down, an app for the popular Wisconsin based gas station Kwik Trip is back up.

The Kwik rewards program, which accumulates points for users of the convenience store that can be used for food and services, went down because of a likely cyber security incident on October 9th.

During the outage, users couldn’t accumulate or use points.

Now that the system is back up, Kwik Trip is trying to make up for the inconvenience of the outage by giving users double points on all visits through November 5th. Also, users who use the stores credit or debit cards for gas purchases will receive an additional 10 cents per gallon off for a limited time, and finally users will receive a one time
amount of points based on the average amount of visits users accumulated in the weeks leading up to the outage.
