Labor Day Crackdown A Success For Law Enforcement
The
du Lac
Sheriff’s Office, worked with Police Agencies from the City of
du Lac
of
Town of
Patrol over the Labor Day Weekend. Deputies/Officers were out in force
throughout
coordinated
effort to crackdown on drunken
drivers, underage alcohol and seat belt violations on Labor Day Weekend.
Additional officers were deployed through grants provided by the Wisconsin DOT
Bureau of Transportation Safety during this event.
Results of the enforcement- The
extra patrol resulted in:
437 traffic stops
253 traffic citations issued
283 warnings issued
20 OWI arrests
3 Underage Alcohol Citations
1 Social Hosting violation
7 other Arrests
The law enforcement agencies
throughout
Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County will be continuing to work together
throughout the year to crack down on
drunken drivers, seat belt violations and other alcohol violations.
