Laconia Girls Clinch Flyway Conference Championship plus Thursday Scores

The Laconia Girls Basketball takes its first step towards defending their state championship by clinching the Flyway Conference regular season championship last night with a 64-47 win over Omro. Laconia played three games this week and remains undefeated in conference play this season.

The Cardinals came out firing with 18 shots on net in the first period and notched one goal from Drake deanovich for a 1-0 lead. In the second Blake spies and freshman Parker Ziebell both had 2 goals in the frame to increase the lead to 5-0 after 2. Brayden Burgess scored in the third and Parker Ziebell notched his hat trick goal late in the the first period. Senior Sean Patrick Juoni recorded the shutout win for FDL on senior night and recorded 13 saves on the night.

All the Badgerland teams will meet in Fond du Lac this weekend. The Cardinals will play Neenah in second round play at 7:45 pm
