Laconia Girls Earn #2 Seed in D3 State Semifinals – Brackets Released

The seeding is complete – and the brackets are set for this week’s Girls State Basketball Tournament at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Locally, the Laconia Spartans earned the #2 seed in the Division 3 state semifinals and will face the #3 seed Freedom Thursday with an approximate tipoff time of 3:15 pm. In the other D-3 semifinal, last year’s champion Marshall earned the #1 seed and will play the #4 seed Gale-Ettrick-Trempeleau at 1:30 Thursday.

Division One Semifinals:

#1 Mukwonago vs. #4 Middleton – Friday, 6:35 pm

#2 Bay Port vs. #3 Kimberly – Friday, approximately 8:15 pm

Winners advance to the D1 Championship Game – Saturday, 8:15 pm.

Division Two Semifinals:

#1 Beaver Dam vs. #4 Hortonville – Friday, 1:35 pm

#2 Whitefish Bay vs. #3 Monroe – Friday, 3:15 pm

Winners advance to the D2 Championship Game – Saturday at 6:35 pm
