Laconia Girls Find Success in the Sunshine State

A normal holiday break during the high school basketball season means time off or a local holiday tournament. For the Laconia Girls Basketball team it meant taking their talents to “the beach.” They traveled as a team to Tampa Bay, Florida to spend time team building at a theme park, the beach and most importantly working on their game in the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational against some of the top teams in the nation. The team went 2-1 in the tournament with the only loss coming to Mainland, FL which won the state tournament last year. Laconia Head Coach Chris Morgan says “when you go down to their and play against kids that are equally or more athletic then you, you’ve got to do the little things.”

January 9th Laconia will be taking on Winnebago Lutheran Academy in a Flyway Conference showdown.
