Lakeside Park Charitable Fund Launched

While Fond du Lac Festivals was honoring some of its Walleye Weekend partners last night a new initiative was announced that will benefit the site for the annual June festival. Festivals Board of Directors member Ray Lapierre announced the launch of the Lakeside Park Charitable Fund. Fond du Lac Festivals has partnered with the Fond du Lac Area Foundation to establish the endowment fund for improvements at Lakeside Park. Lapierre says this past year they paid for some lighting and picnic benches at the park and usually pay for some type of improvement each year. He says the fund will pay for improvements the City wouldn’t normally consider paying for through tax dollars.
