Lakeside Park’s Remodeled Lighthouse Drive Open

The newly remodeled lighthouse drive in Lakeside Park has reopened.

The peninsula now has a paved walking trail/bike path on the perimeter, new pavement and a slightly updated parking lot.

Some trees were removed for the project but others were planted elsewhere.

According to a statement from the City of Fond du Lac, areas for new fishing spots will be in the works.

The lighthouse is still in the process of being renovated.

In other Lakeside Park news, with it being Memorial Day Weekend, the splash pad and rides will be open for the summer season.
