Last Waupun Truck – n – Show to take place this weekend in Waupun

What appears to be the final Waupun Truck and Show starts today in Waupun as hundreds of semis decked out with lights, chrome and other features come together on the Waupun Community Center grounds and adjacent Tanner Park for what has been billed for years as a salute to the trucking industry.

One of the highlights of the festival is the lights of the night parade where semis with numerous lights on them participate in a parade down main street after dark with the City shutting off the street lights to bring out the full effect of the lights.

Then Saturday all registered trucks are welcome to take part in the daytime parade along the same route.

There is also a judged competition with numerous prizes and classes for show trucks.

Vendors will be on hand with truck related merchandise and food as well as live entertainment both Friday and Saturday nights.

The festival had a run of 36 years but now with organizers retiring, and no one stepping up to take their place, it seems as though the festival will cease to go on.
