Law enforcement chase vehicle through eight counties, including Fond du Lac
A subject that led numerous law enforcement agencies on a high speed pursuit that reached speeds as high as 110 mph is in custody after finally being stopped in Milwaukee County.
At 6:05 PM, The Wausau Police Department put out an attempt to locate to counties along the I-41 corridor for a vehicle wanted in their city for felony eluding. The report stated their may be drugs and a gun in the vehicle and that the 2013 Dodge Challenger was last seen east on Highway 10, in a pursuit in Waupaca County headed into Winnebago County. At that time however, no officers were pursuing the vehicle.
Almost instantly after Fond du Lac County aired the attempt to locate to it’s officers, A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper was behind the offending vehicle on 45 southbound, at Sunnyview Road in Winnebago County.
At 6:06 PM the vehicle exited onto 41 southbound from 45, going 90 miles per hour.
The suspect continued to elude officers including numerous attempts at tire deflation devices on 41 southbound in Winnebago, Fond du Lac, Dodge, Washington, Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties before finally being stopped in Milwaukee County by Germantown Police Officers at 91st and Fond du Lac Avenue, where the suspect was taken into custody.
According to dispatch, the subject was 19-years-old and had a record for operating a firearm while under a controlled substance as well as criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to a dwelling.
The southern most pursuit from Winnebago to Milwaukee County covered 76 miles.
