Law enforcement team with On Star to bring high speed pursuit to safe end

A reported juvenile led officers in the Fox Valley on multiple high speed pursuits Sunday night, July 5, 2026, driving towards two of them in the process.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m., Neenah and Menasha officers began chasing an SUV that was seen speeding and driving recklessly.

The vehicle drove into the Appleton area and officers lost it.

After saturating the area, officers again spotted the vehicle and began to pursue it, but due to the reckless driving, the decision was made to terminate the chase.

Officers were able to determine the vehicle was stolen from the Appleton area, and while the previous pursuits were underway, law enforcement noticed the driver was passing a certain area multiple times.

On a hunch, officers went back to the area to look for the vehicle and saw it pull into a residence there. Just as Appleton officers were going to move in to detain the driver and passenger, it again took off.

After finding out the stolen vehicle information, officers were able to team up with On Star to disable the vehicle once another pursuit was initiated.

After leaving the Appleton address, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a third pursuit and On Star was able to disable the vehicle. At that time, a high risk stop was initiated and at 12:37… just over an hour after the initial pursuit, the occupants, both reported as juveniles, were taken into custody.

No other information is known at this time.
