Ledgers Survive Omro

The St. Mary’s Springs Academy boys basketball team grinded out a 44-36 Flyway Conference win over Omro at the Hutter Gymnasium on Thursday night.   The Ledgers jumped out to a 21-12 lead after the first quarter and led by 10 at the half before the offense went south.  Senior Darin Ward scored 14 of his game high 16 points in the first 9 minutes of the game to spark the Ledger attack.  The Ledgers managed just four field goals in the 2nd half as Omro only scored 15 2nd half points and 5 field goals after the break.  Eric Feldner and David Joslyn each added 7 in the win for St. Mary’s Springs.  Dylan Tritt had 11 and Nick Blythe 10 to pace the Foxes.  St. Mary’s Springs (11-1, 5-1) will host Random Lake on Saturday night in another non-conference game.  Omro (4-8, 3-4) will travel to Kewaunee on Saturday afternoon.
