Light On The Ice

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say the ice off a boat landing on Lake Winnebago was searched early Thursday morning after a Menasha Police officer saw what looked like a flashlight out on the ice. A canoe paddle was also found between the light and the 9th Street boat ramp. It was determined the light was a solar-powered dock marker light that had come free from a dock and froze in the ice. Divers conducted a search of open water areas, but nothing else was found.
