List Of Candidates For City Council Grows

It was a busy day.

That was the comment made to KFIZ News by Fond du Lac City Clerk Maggie Hefter when referring to last Friday.

Hefter was referring to the number of people who filed their declaration of candidacy for the Fond du Lac City Council race in the upcoming election.

The following people filed by Friday afternoon: Thomas Schuessler, Brett Zimmermann, Jane Ricchio, Thomas Strizek, and Kenneth Cassaday.

Current councilmember Arletta Allen filed her papers of declaration of non-candidacy. That decision means at least two seats will be up for grabs, as current councilmember and Board President Kay Miller will have served the maximum amount of time on the board, and will not be eligible for re-election.
