Lloyd Running For Congress

A Columbia County dairy farmer is running for the 6th Congressional District seat. Sarah Lloyd is one of two Democrats running for the seat currently held by Republican Congressman Glenn Grothman. She has served two terms on the Columbia County Board and was appointed to the National Diary Board. Lloyd says special interests have too much say, while the people do not. She says they are in control of our economy and democracy, which she says is not acceptable. Lloyd says as a dairy farmer she would like to see a new Farm Bill that once again supports farmers when the prices they are getting for their products are low. She’s also for a strong public education, more support for technical colleges, and affordable college educations. The other Democratic candidate is Manitowoc County farmer Michael Slattery.
