Local burger establishment makes it to great 8 of Wisconsin Beef Council’s state burger contest

Fond du Lac’s own 11:11 Burgers and Beignets has made it to the final eight in the Wisconsin Beef Council’s 2nd Annual Wisconsin’s Best Burger Contest.
Designed to celebrate and promote 100% beef burgers crafted in Wisconsin’s restaurants, bars, and grills, the council says the contest has captured the interest of burger enthusiasts statewide.
The final 8 got to their current position by votes to the competition’s website by the public.
11:11 isn’t representing the area alone however. Four more establishments within a one county radius also made the top eight. They are Brazen Head Pub, of West Bend. The Dump Bar & Grill, located in Cambria. Local Press Burger Bar, of Kewaskum, and Mihm’s Charcoal Grill, of Menasha.
The next step in the competition will be to have the eight finalists visited by a secret panel of judges who will evaluate the burgers in the restaurants. Burgers will be scored on taste, appearance, proper doneness and overall enjoyment of the burger. Bonus points may be given for eating environment, atmosphere and experience.
The winner will be announced May 1st to kick off May Beef Month in Wisconsin.
