Local schools excel in Department of Public Instruction testing

Fond du Lac and Waupun public school districts have released their results from their testing with the Department of Public Instruction.

The yearly testing shows The Fond du Lac School District is now ranked 175 out of 420 Wisconsin school districts, with the district earning the Exceeds Expectations rating, a level not reached since the 2016-17 school year.

Many of Fond du Lac’s public schools saw significant gains, particularly Parkside Elementary. After Meeting Few Expectations in 2020-21, Parkside has now Significantly Exceeded Expectations in 2024-25, achieving the highest score in the District. Both Evans and Lakeshore Elementary Significantly Exceeded Expectations, and Sabish Middle School also earned the Significantly Exceeds Expectations rank.

13 of the 14 schools in the system were rated exceeds or significantly exceeds expectations with only the Fond du Lac High School reporting meets few expectations.

The Waupun Area School District announced all three of their district’s standard-rated schools have received the “Exceeds Expectations” rating.
