Lomira man taken into custody after stand-off
A Lomira man was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2026, after a brief standoff with Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Shortly after 2 p.m., deputies investigated a minor disturbance which took place at a residence in Lomira.
The man involved was on probation, and an arrest warrant had been issued by probation and parole. Deputies attempted to arrest the man at the house, but he refused to exit, locking the doors, and retreating inside.
After a little over three hours of attempting to convince the man to exit the home to be taken into custody, deputies entered the home along with a patrol K9 and arrested him without incident. No force was used and the man complied once deputies located him. He was evaluated by medical personnel on scene, and transported to jail for the warrant.
An additional charge for resisting or obstructing an officer will be requested to the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office.
