Lomira Names New Football Coach

Lomira High School has a new head football coach.  Seth Larson has accepted a position as an Assistant Principal at a school district in the Milwaukee area and has resigned his position as head coach and teacher at Lomira.  Assistant Dwaine Dailey has been named the new head coach.  Dailey joined the staff when he was hired before the 2012 season.  He had previously been at Little Chute High School where he was involved in the football and wrestling programs.  He went to Iowa-Grant High School and played a couple of years of college football at Northwestern College in Minnesota.  Dailey also teaches Art in the district.  Lomira School District Superintendent Bob Lloyd says that the district was aware of Larson’s situation and the transition to Dailey as the new head coach will be smooth.  Larson took over the rebuilding program in 2012 and went 1-8 last season, with the team winning their final game.  The Lions defeated Horicon 40-19 in their season opener last Friday night.  Lomira hosts Campbellsport on Friday night.  Lomira is this week’s Hierl Insurance/News-Talk 1450 KFIZ High School Team of the Week!
