Lomira Plays in the State Championship with Victory on Friday

Behind a dominant outing from senior pitcher Haley Caspray, Lomira defeated Spooner 10–0 in five innings. Caspray struck out the first 10 batters of the game and finished with a 2-for-3 performance including an RBI.

Tori Thomas also went 2-for-3 with an RBI, contributing to a balanced offensive effort. Lomira’s aggressive baserunning forced eight Spooner errors, creating additional scoring opportunities and securing the run‑rule victory.

Lomira will take on Lodi in the state championship as they beat New Holstein 7-3 in the other semi-final game. New Holstein played in the first ever girls state softball tournament.
