Lomira Softball Wins WIAA Division 3 State Championship

Lomira capped its dominant postseason run with a 5–0 win over Lodi to claim the WIAA Division 3 State Championship, finishing the playoffs without allowing a single run.

Lodi threatened early with runners on second and third and fewer than two outs, but senior pitcher Hailey Caspary escaped the jam and controlled the game from that point forward.

Lomira scored once in the first inning, then added two runs in the third and two more in the fourth to pull away.
Offensively, Trista Gassner went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Lily Christian added a 2-for-4, one‑RBI performance.
