Recap – 8 different Vikings collected hits. Anna Trewin and Brooklyn Witt had to each. Addy Peterson with the win allowing only 1 ER. 

Campbellsport 5 West Bend West 4

Recap – Campbellsport came from a 4-1 deficit to beat West Bend West. Emma Muraski homered. Emma Batzler had 2 hits and a walk. Olivia McCarty, Kaylie Jandre, McKenna Loehr, and Peyton Hall (2 RBI) each had hits. Hall went all 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 4 earned runs, 4 walks, and 2 K’s.

Baseball

WLA 5 Kohler/Christian 2

Recap – WLA opened its season Friday afternoon at Kohler in a rematch of their regional playoff game last year. WLA jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top 1st inning highlighted by Owen Ehlke’s sharp single to right field. The score stayed 2-0 until Kohler scored twice in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 2. WLA answered back by scoring 3 runs in top of the 7th and went on to the 5-2 win. Offensively WLA was lead by Ehlke and Andy Simon with 2 hits each. Simon also threw 4 scoreless innings for the Vikings and Ty Faris struck out the side in the 7th in his only inning of work. WLA is scheduled to take on Fond du Lac Monday afternoon before starting Flyway action Tuesday against Laconia.
